Our NPP banking partner has informed us that SWIFT are performing short notice required maintenance on the NPP Addressing Service Production environment at short notice, scheduled for tonight.
Swift will be performing required short notice scheduled maintenance on the NPP Addressing service today (27 May 2026) from 10:00pm to 0:30 am (Sydney Time).
Swift have advised during the above planned activity a small number of inflight transactions may be impacted. We will attempt to retry failed transactions on your behalf and no action should be required.
This will primarily impact PayID resolution during the window, and imapct is expected to be minimal due to retry mechanisms.
Impact: • Brief, intermittent disruptions (under 60 seconds) may occur in NPP alias lookup and resolution. • Azupay will queue and automatically reattempt affected transactions. • This may cause a short delay (a few minutes) in transaction processing and webhook confirmations. • No action is required from clients.
If you experience unexpected failures, please review the transaction and retry it after the maintenance window.
