Scheduled - Westpac have advised they are implementing changes and have scheduled an NPP outage. The change window details are below.

• Change Start Date and Time: Tuesday 7 October 2025 @ 9:00pm AEDT
• Change End Date and Time: Tuesday 7 October 2025 @ 11:00pm AEDT

As part of these changes, a full BIC outage to for the BIC WPACAU3SXXX is required for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Please note the Westpac BICs WPACAU2SXXX and WPACAU2SSTG are unaffected by this change (BSB accounts in the 2XX XXX range)

Westpac accounts under the WPACAU3SXXX BIC range will be self suspending from the NPP network during this period, and accounts starting with BSB 3XX XXX will be unavailable to make or recieve real time payments.

Please note the above times may change if these planned activities are completed sooner or later than expected.

Payments attempted during this period should return a PA04 error and should be re-attempted after the maintenance window.

Our NPP banking partner will be performing scheduled maintenance on Thursday, 09 October 2025 from 2:00 am to 6:00 am (Sydney Time).

Impact:
• Brief, intermittent disruptions (under 60 seconds) may occur in NPP payment processing.
• Azupay will queue and automatically reattempt affected transactions.
• This may cause a short delay (a few minutes) in transaction processing and webhook confirmations.
• No action is required from clients.

Monitoring - Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CTBAAUSNXXX) have resolved the issue that has been affecting Inbound and Outbound NPP Payments. Commonwealth Bank of Australia have advised that they have now issued an admi.016 (PA01) to reinstate their NPP services.

Commonwealth Bank of Australia have advised they will now self-suspend from the NPP by way of admi.016 (PA04).

Azupay recommends reprocessing affected transactions once the incident is confirmed as resolved.

Impact:
• All outbound payments and PayTo initiations to CBA will be rejected with a PA04 error.
• CBA internet and mobile banking will be unavailable for their customers so no payments to PayIDs will be possible during that time.
• PayTo payment agreements be rejected with a PA04 error.

Institution experiencing difficulty: NAB

NAB is experiencing issues affecting Inbound and Outbound NPP Payments, and have self suspended from the NPP while they investigate the issue.

The issue is currently affecting approximately 100% of Inbound and Outbound NPP Payments to and from NAB banking customers.

NAB is currently working through resolution of the issue.
